Hullo there! Although I have been a DaoC player for the better part of two years now, I took an "unpaid sabbatical" (or more accurately an enforced sabbatical due to Internet Subscriptions being unpaid) which coincided with the introduction of ToA. I have also only recently stumbled upon the Freddies House forums (hello everyone by the way!). :D

My "delayed" introduction to ToA in particular has left me feeling a little frustrated, as I really don't want to lag as far behind as I seem to be doing in working my way through the Master Levels. I would like to point out that I am not a power player ( Hello? AVALONIAN PALADIN HERE!!!), but I DO like being useful to groups I participate in in PvE Raids and RvR, and don't want to just feel like I am taking up a group space that would better be filled by someone with more abilities.

Anyway, enough waffle... I have noticed that the ML Raid posts here are predominantly aimed at the higher ML's (5+), and I assume part of the reason for this is that many ML1-4 Raids happened in the early days of ToA's release and that most keen-types have "moved onwards and upwards" by now. I have, by hook or by crook, managed so far to complete ML 1.1-1.9, and have (with my friend Azraal) got a gem and mirror for use with ML1.10. So I was wondering:

1) Are people interested in going on a ML1.10 Raid this Sunday (23rd May), starting at around 6pm UK time? If so it would be helpful if a few kind people who have already done it once or twice to volunteer to come along and give us pointers.

2) Would it be worth my trying to organise a group of people interested in a slow-but-steady regular progression through the Master Levels for others in a similar situation to myself (Late Starter in ToA, and regular 9-5 worker who can only really make weekday evening Raids starting after 7.30pm)?

Any feedback or comments would be most appreciated... I am also a Grandmaster Alchemist and would be prepared to brew any potions needed for a Raid in advance and at Cost Price for Raid members. :drink:

P.S. Its nice to have finally found a room to rent in Freddies House. Sorry I missed you guys for so long.

I would suggest starting a thread entitled ML1 raid <date> etc and see what response you get. Some ML1 raids aren't quite as well advertised because they require only 1fg.

You should get some responses from players doing their alts, theres always lots of that going on.

Also asking around can help. Just watching alliance chat and broadcasts I've come across three ML1 raids in the last week or so.

Not all are as highly ML as these threads can make things appear. I've got ML1+2, as well as the credit for ML4 and 80% of ML5, and there's lots of people not got that far.

Don't forget that you can do later Master levels before the earlier ones, though those after ML4 have requirements (ML5, need ML1, etc.)

Sure, I'll be around on Sunday if you need a hand. If you only have 1 gem, I'd suggest doing the shark step again first since I've always needed 2 (unless you can get someone to donate one).

I'm sure there is a lot of demand for lower MLs. Even people who have done them once often have alts/ bots etc. ML2 in particular is a little challenging to run with a large zerg (I'm thinking of that fear/horror/terror step that only gives credit to 2fg at a time, although the last step also works better if you keep the numbers down.)

Thanks to all who have replied so far (and all the helpful comments contained therein) - as suggested, I have started a separate ML1.10 signup thread for Sunday's proposed Raid :)
