Well after my first post being a bit of a flame about the CTF2 server not having a kick vote function I figured I'd say hi to everyone.

Seems like a pretty cool board - not too many flamers (I'm used to TribalWar forums see)

lo m8, I don't bother posting on TW (read the interesting topics though) since it never gets read because there are so many people on the board, and anything anyone says gets flamed. I like this board because it doesn't have many people on it, and i know everyone better.

As for the numbers of them playing tribes2. I've seen a few named Sarah, Jenny e.t.c but they are usually young boys.

Sadly most women hide or you'll choose names that are neutral so they don't stand out.

It can get a bit heated here. Just don't mention EM being the best tribe in the UK or what has happened to the tribesnation.com domain or who stole the Banana Republic blow up banana or which tribe Stamper is now playing for.

If you keep clear of all these things and can convince people you don't hate newbies then you should be okay.

I see what you mean about the american forums . I have been reading a few of the threads in T2 and it seems that most threads are into a flame within the first 3-4 posts. it doesn't seem to matter what the thread was about, where as some are a flame from the start.you might get the odd flame in here but the majority are helpful or funny .

Going back to the American forums...

Is it just me, or are the in-game forums almost entirely depressing to read? The lack of decent grammar, sentence structure, punctuation (entire posts made up of one rambling, continuous sentence) just annoys the hell out of me.

Give 'em six of the best, that's what I say.

I try to stay away but it never ceases to amaze me how sad they get.

One day I couldnt hold myself away and felt the need for some lameness and saw this question.

"How do I get on the Red team? I always start on the green team! Can anyone help?"

At that point I vowed never to return.

It was (and still is I expect) the same for Counter-Strike. The main US forums were just a breeding ground for lamers and flamers. You couldn't have a sensible discussion without several morons wading in telling you that this sux0red or that roxored or how the CS team had betrayed their fans etc etc.
