Loo i have no CD case or anything as such, and as a result have no CD-Key written down. Ive played CS for some time and am not trying to learn how to "haxor" ppls puter, but i need to find out where they HL CD key is installed as i need to format and dont want to lose the key in the process.
Last hope before i have to reformat and stop playing the game

It's in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Won, CDKeys--at least my Opfor one is! Hope this helps :^)

then half life
then settings
to get to regedit...
