ello all.

i have an old hero that i have started playing again and i need to do soem repecs anyway ...

at 50 what would be best

50 CS
44 LW
37 parry

Or..
50 cs
50 lw
and 28 parry

basically is parry very effective at 37 compared to 28? and will any + Parry items make the difference up?

i want 50 CS no matter what not interested in shields blades etc just wanna go WHACK =)

any help from sexy spear/lw users would be great.

i would say go either 50lw/cs 42or50 shield rest parry

Agreed, I'd choose between 50CS or 50LW

then go 42 Shield - "slam" is invaluble in RvR

Rest into parry.

Of course this is the "conventional" hero spec, playing around with alternatives is always fun.

42 shield is what most ppl go...but imo u hit harder and hit more often with 50 shield.....u dont parry often in rvr...both are good imo uf u want pve 42 shield is best

I was once 50 blades 50 shield, respecced to the "usual" hero spec of 50 CS, 42 shield and 39 parry and never regretted it. Slam as most know is invaluable in rvr. Dont know difference in damage CS v LW for a hero, but CS evade looks much better

I thought of making a hero with this spec too but tbh it is kinda gimped. Although the damage potention is great using some of the LW and some of CS styles. But it would also be very hard to do all the different styles as u would have to swap weapons about etc

Ffs dont spec parry
When i get a respec im going 50 shield, 50 lw, 25 pierce, 14 parry.
Can use a small dirk for a fast bubble pop/interupt, then slam/ani support.
Can also go slambot, then brutalize the enemy tanks when they attack your little mana bombs

42 Shield for slam is a must.

I went with 50 spear,42 shield,39 parry, 6 blades. Tempted to lower parry for more blades, or swap spear for LW, but not enough to change. I am *very* happy with this spec, even if it is the norm.

well thats what i was going for but was too lazy to get me shield out ...

this way i have a good choice of weapon drops to choose from plenty of LW's out there to get u see...

but i will see =)

Slam tanks, rip support apart with thrust damage. (support is almost always chain = weak vs thrust)

If you spec LW, spec it to 50, else don't bother. No styles in LW are very good except anni (lev 50 style) - 9 sec stun from the rear.

Brutalise is a nice move for duels and in PvE esp combined with engage to open a fight. And extra damage in rvr is never wrong.

Pierce for fast taunts and some extra weaponskill as oposed to 6 weapspec.

Parry 4teh.. nothing.

Cant remember right but i would go like i allmost did( 50 cs 42 shield) cept i would lower parry to 33 or so from my former 39 to that and raise blade to 25 ( sword stun or so to be ubah in duels xDD j3jejejejejej )

parry isnt used at all in rvr? is this by design or a bug or do u think in future patches it will be used?

as if parry isnt used rvr then stuff it =)

Parry is used in rvr, although currently it's not too likely to parry/block at the moment.

Next patch the code is fixed for this and I've heard that defensive specs are actually defensive

44lw is a waste of points since there is no doubt the lw 50 style is the best style.

and for the parry discussion.

shield >> parry.

can't parry for someone else, parry doesn't give you any styles and if you can specc both shield and parry your enemies shouldn't hit you before all your support and mages in the group is dead and by then you can aswell die to.

think I'll respecc to 50 CS, 50 Shield rest spread somehow into parry and blade next patch
