This is an update to my pre 1.89 Flex Heretic power shield template.

I swapped out the GoV for the Dragonslayer Infernal Cloth Vest, got slightly more power pool and piety, and capped fully strength and dexterity.

The main difference is the Albion Cloak of Might, each two minutes you can use a 10% omni heal, which is quite nice with Zahur's power conversion up.

I am not sure how the new Crush/Flex styles will be, maybe it's wiser to make a Crush template and cap out constitution/HPs/AF and drop dexterity to 75 or maybe it's even better to make a full hybrid template.

When using this template or any template with CTR you shall not use the Heretic's damage shield, as CTR's damage conversion will not work then.

I'm confused, 80con, 244 hits, 14 energy and lowish AF (though you got lots anyway)?

It's a number game really with templates, to get the stats you mentioned up, you need to drop other stats (2 of them at 101 and 2 over 75) or replace the items with charges but bad utility (EP, CoZ, CTR) with higher utility items.

Focus is on power to health conversion, though with the new styles coming up it can be bad approach.

Not sure why you would need that much dex(?). I'd deffo keep EP and mebbe CTR, but would ditch CoZ. Besides you dont want to have too many timers running.

Anyways focussing on health conversion with low(ish) hp/AF/resist is kinda missing the point :p

Flex damage is based 50% of dex, 50% str. Two flex styles are based of blocking, and because of the high dex on a Heretic & spec shield it helps with blocking itself.

CoZ really wins fights, it renegerates way more HP than 50 AF would reduce on damage (10 AF ~= 1% damage reduction) and way more than additional hits would bring.

Timers aren't a problem. Before I go out, I have 25% duration gear on, hit CoZ then and it's up for 12.5 out of 15 minutes, plenty of time to use other charges.

I sometimes am at 1% health and CoZ brings me up again, even if EP or CW charge are down.

Hade a little look at Tic board on VN, seems something's up with powershield! Never noticed that before.

CoZ's charge is a power shield. When you are below 50% health the shield will convert your power to health until you are above 50% health again.

The ratio is 5% power for 1% health from what I can say. So basicly the frist mana bar gives me 500 HPs back and with all the regeneration to power via EP/CW/Cloak charge and natural regenration it's easily a "free" IP2 if not IP3, just over time.

But there are lot of different fights to equip and fight on a Heretic, some prefer to run with a Friar Heal proc and snare and kite for heals :p.

worked nice against my champ :D i cryed when i had you at maby 10% then your health started to go upp way to fast :)

Bumping an old thread, as i tried CoZ on my tic today and with the slayer procs and CoZ use1 up im quite tough to kill. very glad i read this thread. deffo worth having CoZ imo.
