Hercules Radeon 9700 Pro problems

Hi,

hope some of u computer wizzes can help me

I seem to have uber problems with my Radeon 9700 Pro card

have downloaded the latest driver from hercules, didnt work proberly... downloaded the latest from Ati, didnt work proberly...

im this || close to brake it


PS DONT ever buy Radeon 9700 Pro !! rly rly rly suxer

I've got a Radeon 9700 and it works fine. The first thing to check is your power supply. Try putting it in a different machine and if it works there's a big chance it's your power supply that's having trouble.

I had to use the omega 3.4 catalyst drivers to get GTA vice city and DAOC working. The 3.4 catalyst from ATI made the graphics on GTA vice city corrupted and when I tried the 3.2 catalyst daoc wouldn't save my performance settings.

DO NOT use the ATI drivers [from www.ati.com] use herc drivers or omega ones

they will not work with the herc cards

The new 3.4 catalyst drivers r insanely good, make sure u dl the correct control panel pack aswell or you get into trouble.

Also make sure the power lead is securly into the back of the card.

btw does the ATI bios needs to be updated ? cant find any bios update at ati ??!?

ATI make excellent cards and awful drivers.... general rule with radeons is always use third-party drivers :great:

their 3.4 cats are damn good actually, just far to many nvidia fanboys going on and on about how nvidia have a pretty install screen or some shit.

Buy me a 9700 pro and send it to blackburn its not far from brighton, then I wont need to be a nvidia fanboi
