Help!

[Elixir]

Something is shutting down both my firewall and anti-virus and i dont know what it is, they just dissapear from the systray. Tried running a virus scan and it finds nothing, any idea how i can fix this problem and be safe again?

rebuild your pc

if both your antivirus/firewall are shutting down then it sounds like a trojan or some such on your pc...

you could try checking the following on your pc but ONLY if your pc orientated !

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT VERSION\RUNONCE and also \RUN

check to see if anything in runonce or run is being kicked up on boot that should not be, but like i said before PLEASE dont remove stuff if your not pc literate/not prepared to rebuild your PC afterwards
