hey

i've just bought SI and installed it, then i went to my account page and activated it with the CD key supplied (which came back sucessful)

however.... when i start DAOC nothing is different, the character selection screen doesnt allow me to choose new races only the oringal ones.....

is there a new client or exe that i've failed to notice ? (i've looked)

or am i missing something :p

thanks in advance for your help

Maybe you are still using your old daoc installation?

SI is "Standalone", it can be installed without having the original client installed... my guess is that you are still using your old installations .exe-file...

Uhm, you sure? should be a nice camelot.exe there... try reinstall it and be sure to note where you put it... doesn't it place icons in the start menu, btw? I can't remember, i format my harddrive way too often, but keep my SI installation on another drive, so i can't really say :p

SI is standalone, yes. i'm positive. Although, you can install over the standard client, but you won't be able to use your standard client then.. but why would you :)

(You still need an original account, ofc, but the install is standalone)

Since I reinstalled my OS, I didn't bother installing the original client, just SI and it works fine as yes, it's standalone.
And yeah, you still use your old key to sign in.

You do realise that you only need to enter your CD key the first time you run the game , if you re-install , you don't need to enter it , just click ok with the cd key box blank

You can still use your original client as well.

I installed SI couldnt run but never uninstalled it but classic still works. SI is a seperate installation competly from classic DAOC.
