So I walk into this mob area, right, and go for a yellow mob all stealthed up, right, and think "bwahaha he can't see me I will do fine"...

...so I pop back at my bind point about 6 seconds later, right, and realise I need lots of help/advice on playing/speccing SBs.

:)

I'm using Sword and going as Critblade-y as I can.

Hmm...I lvl up as a CB and it's some hard shit if your unbuffed. Autotraining ST unless you have a steady xp-grp is difficuilt.

What you should spec/do depends on many factors, but IMO you should keep your CS/SW near your lvl dump the rest in Envenom. Plan your end template and see how long you need to autotrain stealth. After that dump points into stealth, cuz you really need that PA as an opener. Other than that...get hold of good SC gear. You also need to plan your xping, looking for the "rigth" mobs.

Use Hamstring/Leaper as often as possible.

As alway try to get a grp...

I think it's still easier to level to 40 as a SZ then rip out the LA points and put into CS/keep for stealth at 44/48, and just use good weighted knives for pulling mobs.

It _was_ easier to level as a SZ, mainly to do with all the extra damage. Now it's probably similar.

My advice is keep weapon and envenom high.

What I mean is, SZ is easier to level than a critblade with auto-trained stealth, and because you don't need to stealth for a PA, you get a wider selection of mobs to whack pulling with knives.

Whichever way you level. Don't waste your time with PA. Use Base weapon styles and reactionaries. Waiting for combat timer, stealthing up to a mob and relying on PA is a waste of time particularly when in groups.

Much better to drop str/con and dot on a target and use base styles.

Groups.... you're funny. ;)

5 hours waiting for a group with 1 hour in a group is MUCH better than 6 hours soloing.

Coming to think about it, the best thing is probably what Pin suggested. Should probably add some base LA too. Havok does about the same dmg as double frost so I don't see the reason to spec as a SZ for easier lvling anymore. Uses tonns of End too.

That's not quite what I meant.... You're damn lucky if you can find a group after 5 hours sometimes as a SB, especially at the top end levels.

In none aggro spots like Spider in Spindel using PA/CD is faster, but at lower lvl I agree
