ok.. I've posted this here and there and found it fitting to be posted here too^^

Been thinking of getting a new GFX card after suffering from a bad mistake the last few months by buying a Hercules 4500 card

My requirements for the card is that it should be able to run most of the new games (UT:2003, Morrowind, DAoC:SI and games with that and better gfx) fairly good.. mostly a gamers card, but also fairly good when it comes to working with programs like Photoshop...

My comp atm is a 1.8GHz AMD with 1GB DDR RAM and running the OS Windows XP (sp1)

The little problem I have is that I don't have too much cash to buy so I've been looking around after some cheap but good cards..

this is what I've come up with sofar:

  • Sapphire Radeon 9100 Atlantis 128MB DDR
  • Sapphire Radeon 9500 Atlantis 64MB DDR
  • Gainward GeForce3 Ti/500TV 128MB 4ns DDR
  • Creative 3DBlaster GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB

all these cards here in norway lies around 1XXX kroner (100£ or something)

Wich one of these cards should I pick or do you have any better cards in that pricerange to recommend?

All help appreciated

Sad thing about video cards is the best spec isnt necessarily the best one to buy. Its almost all about the quality of the drivers and how much the people who write your games use these video cards themselves.

i.e. Buy the GeForce4 ti4200, they are the best supported.
