lo all
when i try and take a screen shot online my pc crashes<quake 2 )>,i can take 1
offline watchin a demo etc..but it aways crashes online when im on a
server..

What type of server? (i.e. what type of game)

If you're playing a server side mod (like battle) and you try and take a screenshot, you need a local "battle" directory or Q2 crashes (even tho there is no client side to the mod).

Create a quake2/battle dir and try it.

Of course, if you're *not* playing a server side mod like this, or you already *have* a directory, then this isn't your problem

What OS are you using?

I've got Win98 and if I connect to any server side mods I've never played before, Quake 2 creates a folder for it automatically.

Also (making sure you have enough hd space for a screenshot which I think you probably have else Quake 2 probably wouldn't run)
are you hitting Print Screen for the shot or Quake 2's built in screenshot bind (i.e. F12)?

Then again you could be using an external proggy (like Hypersnap). There isn't much point in this because Q2 can do it.

Lastly, you could be using a config for screenshots to clear the crosshair and icons.

Try binding a key to screenshot
bind F12 screenshot
(if anyone doesn't know)

If you're doing this then soz I couldn't help

but i found out what it was..i had to make a folder called sldm the it worked:O)
