HELP NEED IT BADLY WITH CS

I just bought the retail version of cs, downloaded the newest version and everything seemed fine BUT
WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT TO A INTERNET SERVER IT CONECTS DOES NOTHING FOR A WHILE AND THEN DISCONECTS......IT DOES NOT INITILISE AND DOWNLOAD IT JUST DISCONECTS....HELP PLEASE

I have not played cs for 4 days now and im starting to go crazy...IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWEAR MAYBE YOU KNOW SOME ONE THAT YOU CAN SEND ME TOO! PLEASE

my m8 had this prob - his solution was to type retry after a shortwhile into the console - after it reconnects ok
