Ok soz about all this badgering but take a look at meh irqs:

IRQ 11 PCI OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller
IRQ 11 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
IRQ 14 Primary IDE controller (dual fifo)
IRQ 14 VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller
IRQ 15 Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo)
IRQ 15 VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller

Now correct me if i'm wrong but my video card/NIC/Firewire should not be sharing the same IRQ when 5 and 9 are both free.

3dmark 2001 or DXdiag wont run and i'm getting silly performance hits in most games

But I cant seem to change the irqs...I tried disabling ACPI and installing a standard PC ,... but it all goes to feck...
As I heard aboot ACPI prolemos.

freshly formatted PC btw using windows 98se.

You should try and put Windows2000 / XP on, i use to have a shit load of Conflicts when i had '98, but didnt get any once 2000 was installed

How exactly are you trying to change IRQs?

You should be able to do this in BIOS and it must work 100%

Changed them in bios...nout happened

Installed XP Pro....irqs fine ... massive performance increase in meh games ...rah!

Told ya heh, Win98 is a pain in the arse for hardware, whereas Win2000/Xp sometimes pre-installs them (SB Lives for instance)

WIN98 IRQ sharing is shit, 2000/XP is much better at sharing.

The funny thing is though....CS still drops to 45 fps in some places, yet I can run RTCW in 1280x1024 full detail faster than chasey lane could....er....(not really teh time or place)
