help me with NS spec

yo, i already tried the advice-forums but got only 1 reply about this. so the situation is this - i got a rr1 elf, blades-specced NS. what spec i should be aiming for to dish out superdouper damage?

50 cs / cd ( depends which u prefer, i would prefer going cs which boost the dmg alot more afaik )
19 cd ( Ice storm is ftw and u will win )
33 poison ( i never been poison fan so i had no biggy with that )

44CS, 35Stealth, 35Blades, 35Env, 27CD?
(assuming no autotrain)

I am a big fan of high cd whilst maintaining high cs ... but this isnt really viable until after rr5

My rr2 spec was ... and i found it very good ...

38+12 Stealth
38+12 Env
39+12 Cs
38+12 Blades
Rest CD

Use that spec to rr5 and then its time to play with the big boys

Also ure 1st ra's regardless of spec should be Purge 2 MoS2

P.S. All assasins get free full auto-train @ 50 now so

Well i can only afford 51 composite offhand with rr6+ spec but it is lush

We got a forced respec but if you hadnt autotrained before then you didnt get any extra points.

this statement is 100% correct. You will still have a minimum of 12 points in stealth when respeccing stealth, but this will take away 77pts from your total pool. This means if you didn't autotrain it before, you have in fact 77pts less. If you autotrained, you have 77pts more at start, so the 77pts less will result in you having the full pool of points for a lvl 50 shade.

I am going back to 48+ CS spec and we coud make some duels then (I woud go 50 if i hade autotrain)
But i doubt we would notice any big differents.

50cs is nice, but at rr7+

with 50cs you get indeed nice dmg on mainhand, but if the mh hit gets blocked/parryed/evaded/missed and oh doesnt swing because of too low cd spec, you wasted lots of spec points - not to mention low chance to apply the second poison

Ofc u CAN kill assasins with 50 CS, u can kill em with any spec the thing is what makes u win most.

Duels vs me will be pointless unless u land PA+CD as ill win all others

i found it with 50CS i hardly lost 1on1 and that is without pa, all u got to do is doing sidestun and pincer which was about 400 dmg per hit.... so i dunno why are u saying u win more with other spec... in the end it is down to ur playerstyle and appently u didnt like 50 cs and there u dont like recommend 50cs, i would go either 44cs or 50cs i never tried fully spec cd

Strange that no1 posting on these boards lose any 1v1 fights ye CS is great dmg no doubt about that but the dmg diff between 44 and 50 is minimal and each and every offhand swing u get is more dmg imo. But all can have there opinion tho.

there have been endless test on CD versus CS spec point to dmg point ratios etc, the method i posted gives the best AVERAGE dps accross all fights, however some most fights because of clustering of offhand swings you will see slightly LOWER dmg than full 50 CS, and few fights with much higher dmg than 50 CS (the fights where all them 3% chances add together and finally give you a full swing).

Going 50 CS gives you more reliable dmg in every fight, but i have always prefered myself to have the best AVERAGE dps when taking my whole session into account, and so i usually end up with around 25-35 CD and 45-50 CS depending on RR env. spec etc.

I agree, it's a verry nice extra dmg. Dunno if it's the best extra dmg, i mean the DOT mine do some nice dmg aswell, tics for about 100 and it hits almost every time.

Lets do some math with a RR5 NS with 0 CD in template:

32 CD spec:

Poison 32
Stealth 35
Blades 35
CD 32
CS 44

It means you have a 49,48% chance to hit with OH

50 CS spec

Poison 32
Stealth 35
Blades 35
CD 22
CS 50

OH 42.68% chance.
A diferent of 6.8%

Lets say you hit 10 times in a assasin fight.
With "CS spec" you will do totaly around 500dmg with OH. (maby less dmg, but thats not the point)
And if you use the "CD spec", you will do the "CS spec" OF dmg with 500dmg + your extra cd points 6.8% = 538dmg.

So the big question is:
What do i get instead of those extra 38dmg?

I belive you do more dmg with your CS styles if you spec 50CS instead of 44CS with 6.8% extra CD.
