help me spec a chanter

i really dont know how to spec it
i want to take it to lvl 24 and maybe higher if i enjoy it, and also would like to use light.
any suggestions on a lvl 24 spec?.

Well I just started yet another one, I have made 3 so far (all low levels), and am on a 4th at the moment.

First one I made was 2/3 light, 1/3 enchantments (ages and ages ago) and was great.

Second one was all mana, was harder to solo due to aggro from mobs when I got too close to PBAOE, but in group was super powerfull and a great leveling machine,

Third was Enchantments 1/2, light 1/2 and was soloing Red/purple lough wolves, admitted we got all power relics, but the enchanments must of helped great fun but knew I would find it hard getting groups at later levels

I have started again now after messing with various other chars, and have so far (lvl 5) gone full mana, as it will be great damage and easy groups later on, I will put some in enchantments, just to get a few pet buffs and some damage add to help lower level chars level


Dont help much, but I am at work and bored so thought I would share my thoughts I am sure you'll get many more replies from peeps who know what they are doing

Light = Great Soloing and RvR (from what I have heard)
Mana = Super Damage and easy groups
Enchantments = Pet buffs and cherry on top damage add

Only reason u get agro when moving in to PBAOE is becoz uve healed ur pet..
As for a lvl 24 chanter id spec 21light rest in enchantments (as soon spd buff will be baseline)

Salty, I don't think you should .. I see from your sig that you are Pie .. and Hib needs MORE PIE!!!! Leave the chanter .. spread Pie around the realm.

just spec mana, can anyone say "pbaoe?"

which is the only way to lvl now in hib, if you aren't a shield hero or a pbaoe'er, or have mana regen or bubble, then you effectively are groupless

ie, with the chanter you can make it so that you can get in (and be needed for) pbaoe groups, so just spec mana, because no other kind of chanter can be much use in one

sad but true.

of course you could just to light/ench and run around soloing red mobs enchanters are OVERPOWERED pve solo machines. the only thing that can manage to even come close are rangers when hunting trees, easy to solo an enchanter up to 24, i'd give it about 1 week and you'd be there

I would suggest getting the lvl 11 arms buff then going mana only for quite a while.
A good trick I use PvE is that u buff pet up but dont arms buff yourself. That way you can both melee mob and pet holds agro. sometimes u have to stop melee for a few secs if u get agro. Then when its low enough u use 1 pbaoe to finish it off. Very low mana usage for chain pulling.
