Just got the game, but which realm should i join?

look at the characters and choose what you want to be.

there is no difference in any realm, they are all as bad as each other ;)

If you give us more info we will be happy to help you choose :D

I would say Hibs if you just want one win buttons.
I would say Mids if you just want one win buttons and be an asshole at the same time.
Albs if you are sadomasocistic and enjoy losing due to instant win buttons each time.

if I were new tot he game and choosed a new realm I'd start hibernia because of their cool class names. Hero, Blademaster, Champion. sounds really cool :)

Yok, if you want an honest opinion, midgard. Best balance between good RvR classes and an interesting realm to level up in. Hibernia as a realm is rather "rushed" feeling... small diversity of mob models and names, etc etc, although the classes and items are uber :p
Albion is the best-feeling realm to level in (imho at least) but RvR we tend to outnumber the rest a bit and there's something of a poor spirit of realm cooperation, really.

It don't matter which realm you choose, at some point the class and realm you chose will be nerfed beyond recognition in order to "balance" the game.

I agree with Tranquil :(

But tbh.I advice you to think realm`s environment before you do anything else,this game isnt only bout rvr. Albion = Knights,Bandits in forests,oakforests,shortly say,looks like King Arthur`s age etc.
Midgard - Cold weather,not sure is there as many ppl around to make groups here in exca as there is at Prydwen - but if thats so,prepare to solo alot unless you know some friends/good guild. Im from Finland personally so I love Midgard`s environment and Albs most :D
Last but not so bad - Hibernia.
Threehugging elphs everywhere,green grass everywhere,sexy luris everywhere,pretty gayish ballads as music and long horseroutes :D

i thought there was an asshole requirement to join Mid?

And since I'm over hte age of 5, i guess I cant be Alb.

So Hibs get grass? AND sexy luris!?!? But what if I drop the soap next to a moosed firbie? especially if I'm a sexy luri!

All realms have their morons. Unfortunately, Alb has Glottis, who is unquestionably the biggest braindead yolk in the game.

All the realms have their benefits. What sort of role do you want to play in the game? Bear in mind that Alb has the highest population too so it may be a consideration to go hib/ mid.

Hibs have some absolutely amazing classes. You can't go too wrong with a hibby char.

Mids have some great classes too. You have the healer if you want a support role (no damage, but undoubtably the most fun class I've played), Zerker if you want to do pure heavy damage, Runie for good nukes, etc.

Albs have a few more classes than the other realms, but for those extra classes they give up some diversity (ie, the needed tools are spread out more/ higher need to specialise).

Also you have to take into account the type of people and enviroment you want to play in. Alb, undoubtably due to its higher population, has a few too many 133t kiddies on it (see Glottis for prime example), whereas the other two realms are generally not as bad (obviously you get your fair share of idiots on every realm).

As for enviroment, Alb without a doubt is the best looking realm, with Mid second, Hib last.*

*I actually think Hibernia looks a thousand time better than Mid (just compare TNN to Jord), but the general consensus seems to be that Mid is the better looking realm.

I've not met one idiot in mid so far, Alb has many due to its size.. I find midgard to be pritty layed back, but idiots are around on mid :)
