God I hate myself for asking this question.

Is it possible to change the time on a PC? If so, how?

Once you've finished laughing any help would be much appreciated.

Or type "TIME" into the command prompt if you use DOS ;)

Don't worry, there have no doubt been more stupid questions on here.

I knew about the right clicking thing but it doesn't appear to work for some reason :( Honest!

Thankyou fatbusinessman, that did it.

guys - we all know the real answer so lets stop jacking the poor sod around...

I'm guessing but I think the clock is out by 8 hours? sounds like you've got a motherboard with a foreign bios... check the time on your system and work out which time zone it belongs to.... you'll need to get your system vendor or motherboard supplier to send you out a replacement board with a bios calibrated for GMT :D

Also, if you cant tell the time using a 24 hour Clock (Like me :p) Go to Control Panel, Regional Settings, Time, and change the H:mm:ss to h:mm:ss, and voila

Oh bugger

I figured the clock was a bit behind because of a huge fuck up my PC had a month or so ago but I just watched the seconds on the clock and they appear to be b0lloxed. They're counting up very erratically, stopping for a split second and then jumping ahead, stopping and then starting again. CMOS battery?
