I whipped an old ISA nic out of a p200 Compaq Deskpro and put it in a new(ish) 2000 machine, obviously it can't find the driver for it, i can't remember what make/model the card is, i want to dl the drivers before leaving off for the day. I've had a look on the Compaq website and on google but can't find out what card shipped with these as standard...

Any ideas? :(

Take a look at the chipset and see if any id is on that, most NICs conform to several standard chipsets, then look up on that.

Yea cheers cama, but i was hoping to get the drivers before going home, as nic is at home and i've got no net access atm :(

Reckon there was a standard build for the 2000 Deskpro's?

No telling with Crappaq...

Open it up, see if there's a code written on the card. If so, you should be able to do a lookup and find out exactly what it is.
Someone else will have to provide a website for that though cause I don't know it :)
