Hi,
I recently purchased an original space invader machine which i believe dates back to 1977/78.
After lugging the damn thing upstairs ( i had to remove the bannister and a door frame) i plonked it in my kids room where it worked fine for about a fortnight.
Unfortunately it is now clitching in so much as the screen squashes into a single white line in the middle. Ive banged the side of it which rectified it but its since resumed the thin white line. I still get full sound and the game appears to still be working because the i can hear the fire button working and the classic dum dum dum sound and also the crash/killed sound.
I'm fearing the worst, that the tube is shot. I have rang my local arcade but they not much help and was therefore wondering if anyone knows of a repairer ( who wont take the pee ) that can visit my house in colchester essex.
