Help CHARGED ITEMS

ok bit of a n00b question this, but how the fooking hell do you used charged items.

After about 7 hrs in DF I got myself the nice bow I was after, but feck knows how u used to use the Charge. Fire DOT

Please can anyone who knows explain how to use these charged items, especially my new bow.

I expect its got to be something to do with the USE key but feck knows how u do it, any help will be much appreciated, may even throw u a couple of seals in return if I see you in DF

Humm ok so that means you cant critical shot and use charge.



So if i drag bow, icon to quickbar (its allready there as a hunter) and then press use and then press number for shot, ill use a charge yer. (me thinks i understand

Next daft question, to use charges has the bow, item got to con yellow

Jesus do I sound a noob or what, just that I like the sound of these charge things, especially a DOT spell on a bow, will mean when u hit stealthers, they wont be able to restelth, (well for at least 20 secs or so) and that will give me time to either speed buff up to em, and mele with spear, or finish of with few more arrows, also will cancel there spells

How can you see what kind of charge it is?

on my item it only says 5 charges...
-5 MAX


and below that it says somthing haste buff or something but isnt that a proc? or is proc and charge the same magic but just fired at different occasions?

thats the charge, the haste prolly



may be a uber quickness buff, or a speed buff




think you have to be lvl 50 to use charges tho

But how do I know if the Haste is the Proc or the charges?

I mean other items that proc look the same as the thing with haste....

I think it is written down. if item is charged u have info that it is charged and amount of charges as well. If it is proc item u have informations when shift+i like direct damage spell, 34 damage, heat etc.

PS. I think most if not all "buff kind" of spells (haste, speed buff, armour buff) are on charged items.
If there is +damage item it can be both charged and proced.
The easiest way to check if something is charged is to take a look at shift + i info. If u will find "charged" word there means u know the answer :>

Can an item item be both Charged and Proc?

I was saying it can be as well charget and proced weapon.
But havent seen (and i believe there is no) weapon both charged and proced at once.
