Help Cd Key

Please can someone tell me how I can enter my new cd key.
I got banned on a few servers for some resason I have brought another half life with a new cd key I want to enter my new cd key now so I can play on the servers without uninstalling half life then reinstalling it.
PLZ HELP THX

you have to Edit the Registry Key, i ain't gonna say where, because i aint sure if your intentions are right.. sorry

You say you where banned from a lotta Servers *for an unknown reason* well you also say you bought a new HL Copy.... how do we know you wasn't cheating on them, and you got banned, and now, you found a CD Key and wanna cheat more....

If i am wrong, i am sorry, let someone else tell you where to go... coz i aint sure its right telling someone to edit their registry settings...

Just save your config if its important and reinstall, its painless.

Here how to enter a new CD Key without Reinstalling.

Go into regedit Start > Run > regedit

Once in there press Ctrl+F to open the find dialog box and enter "Valve" without the ""

Once it has fond it open it, then in to Half-Life then open the subfolder called Settings.

In there is a string called "Key" Double click on open it and delete the "Value Data" Which is your current CD Key Code and enter the new one without spaces or -.

Once you have done this, close the string, and then run HL or CS with your new CD Code

Oh come on! We all know that the rules of the primary school playground are sacred! You MUST retaliate if shot at purposely! Otherwise there would be a major 'lol' shortage and think how many 'l' and 'o' key manufacturers would force redundancies on their poor staff!!
