Help Big G find an energy provider!

Ok,

I know we're being held to ransom by Gazprom at the moment, so gas prices are generally high because of the sky high wholesale price, but can anyone recommend a cheap(er) gas and leccy (or combined energy discount) provider? or recommend a website for first time energy buyers? Price wise and customer service wise are quite important.

I hear EDF are one of the better ones?

Any advice or horror stories most welcome.

Today's new story was EDF raising their gas prices by 19%...

No doubt the rest will follow suit.

Yes I saw that, and indeed i'd expect the rest to follow if it's a wholesale hike.
