help anyone on DoD? please?

lo , i cant seem to starup dayof defeat , when it seems like the game is just about to begin , it comes up saying this
Mod_load brushmodel:sprites/shot_smoke4.spr is wrong version
(0 should be 30)
could anyone give me a little understanding of how to go about this problem?

Someone needs to send you the shot_smoke4.spr from the sprites folder inside Day of Defeat.

BTW, it might be the case that your folder is corrupted, which means that there may be more than 1 file that is different. Do you have a good enough connection to download the whole zip?

way ahead of you , i decided to flaunt my adsl connection and went off for half an hour to let it download , installing right now, hopefully its going to work.

I actually recall getting something similar when i played DoD... Just.. i cant remember what i did..

I have actually had a rest from DoD of late, mostly because of the game hanging at map changes, caused I believe by a VAC module. However Ive tried it again lately, and the problem seems to have gone. Maybe a new VAC module, who knows. Anyway, it seems to be fixed, so expect more meaningless DoD posts from me that no one wants or needs
