Hello, I have just started playing on this server/mid, looking for a guild with lowbies in it as well because I am finding it really hard to level on my own due to server populations.

I used to play on US servers a while ago, so I know the game reasonably well, so not a total n00b.

Want to make some friends, would be really nice to log on and speak to people as well.

Is there a guild out there that is willing to give me a home.

Gaddry :)

1 question, why do guilds have recruitment forums?

Just a lame way of getting more users imo.

dont convoke silly replies brunore...

KN has a recruitement forum so the officers could keep track of the masses of applications we got during the past 2 months (got about 15-20 ppl who asked to join KN etc)
as we like to screen our applicants thoroughly, we prefer using a recruitement forum to sticky/close applications that are in process/processed
very useful in these busy busy times.

its just a way to keep track of things and also to make sure everyone in the guild, members and officers alike, can read up and post comments etc so we learn more about the person in question.
also it helps guilds build up a database of people who are friendly to the guild or who are unreliable.

in KN such a forum is in NO WAY meant to attract more people, we just created it for our own ease, and im sure other guilds did this for exact thesame reason.

[edit]
besides... kn forum has a userbase of 30ish regulars so we dont really need em anyway :p
[/edit]

sorry to spam this thread about this, gaddry, and good luck in your quest for a guild that you can call your home :)

My point being...

Recruitment forums will work for big, popular guilds.

People want to play a game, not surf guild forums etc...

And also your attitude was very apparant in your first reply to me, something I noticed all the time in /gu

But, as I said, GL.

Brunore people like to have forums which are easy to navigate. And having a recruitment section is good instead of posting all the applications in the general discussion section of the forum. Makes it all a bit easier to find and read what you want to read, if you don't wanna read about people applying to your guild then don't read the recruitment forums.

And imho it doesn't matter if the guild is big or small, there is always someone who might want to join.

Edit: I myself like to read my guildforum and think it is very handy. And i'm pretty sure im not alone about this.

Any chance we can avoid turning my post into a discussion on the reasons for and against recruitment boards please :p

had a look at both guilds on the guild info thingy, and neither of you really seem to have many low lvl characters...for me to group with.

Are there any guilds out there with plenty of low lvl characters...which is where im struggling with :(

Hi Gaddry,

Im also looking for a guild with some lowbies.
I played daoc 1.5 years ago and had a lvl 43 Warrior
named Krisse. Then i left due to connection problems.
Now i got the connection and some time to play so
i started playing again for 4 days ago. Its hard to
find a group thats not getting PLed by their guild etc.
Tell me if u find something. :)
Im lvl12 at the moment tired of soloing allready. :fluffle:
