just thought I'd waste ur time in sayin hello. I'm new here and would'nt mind some advice if at all possible

I'm doing this

Nurture = 32
Regrowth = 23
Music = 49
blunt = 19

whats the pros/cons of this.

Forget about weapon, or roll a skald, run5 is a must actually as well as end5 - gives you unlimited sprint+mach5 with a bit of twisting. Very nice for getaways and chasing someone down.

Music 47 max for the last insta-mez if you want it, but i`d actually stick for old-fashioned 44 music spec, since that insta just replaces one from 37 music and really useful only for disabling enemy mezzers. Unless you have healer zerg on you, it doesnt really matter what radius it is.

Regrowth - your call for me 20 is more than enough. Though there were reports of bard-bot which was specced 43 nurt/40+ regrowth, and healed for 500+ hp.

Blunt - forget about it, you're not going fight with any chain-plate wearer. Be better off with blades - you have a chance against assasin even if they get a jump, though you should be fast
And ofcause you can outmelee mage

PS. Before rolling a bard, think whether you want character which severly lack active abilities, nerfed to hell, can be safely substituted with bot and very boring to play.

thx for the advice. I have already stated my bard and got him to lvl 12. I'm havin a pretty good time with him as well I usual play on exc/alb and have a 39 armsmen, Its gettin so borin tankin all the time that I think maybe a healer type charector could be fun

Aye, till 40 or something near Bards rock - you're good secondary healer, you're mezzer for the group, so you're generally having a good time After 40 you're an exp battery. In RVR you're mezzer/battery. But since mez is quite nerfed now, and will be toned down even more, not much is left for bard to do.
Actually Druid maybe will be a better choice if you want to pursue healer spec, and Warden if you want to be hybrid-healer.
PS. Some people roll Shaman and actually play them. So i think there will be some persons which play bards

Are you kidding? Bard mezz is probably at it's strongest now - Purge is badly bugged, there's no resist type for bard's AE etc

Well, by the time he gets to 40+ we'll have 1.52 on us.
PPS. "Expert at escorting friends to battle" is not exactly the type of character i wanted to play.
But nm, got a nice bot and excalibur now
