I'm sorry to hear that there are so many problems in this game.
This is a Roleplay game, this means that people create some fictional character and enter a realm or universe created by a storyteller.
In Dark ages of Camelot we have an extra dimension, we have the ability to enter a cross section where we can go bash on the "enemy" realms their heads. To get to this point we need to get our characters to a certain level. If we want to enjoye the game fully we need to have a FULLY developed character. To get there we need to level. Final stage is level 50. Before that, all characters are semi developed, they are playable but there will always be something you lack off. ( hereby i mean going in RVR, Battle grounds) To prove this point most ppl want to get a character to 50 asap and THEY USE ALL MEANS. Powerlevelling, what a word. The fastest way to get a character to that critical lvl 45. The level where most things can be done with a descent result.
MAIN
The only thing i seem to notice in these thread are POWERFULL characters dominating others. This can be part of a roleplay sceem... but is it allways? Isn't it envy, jealousy, hatred and some other negative emotions that domintes your eagreness to level faster and faster??
Don't most people forget that there are roleplay activities in this game? and that RVR isn't the ONLY purpose of this game? Would it not make you time in levelling your character more enjoyable
if you were to organize something yourself? Get a group of friends to go hunt some place. Lower the risks you are taking so you don't die so often, death only lenghtens your time to 50 i think. RVR is fun, but try to make your trip, quest to that point enjoyable.
On this forum here most threads are complaints. Complaints about some person acting up, not respecting the PERSONAL feelings of a person feeling annoyed. Would it not be easier to just to TAKE THE ANNOYING PERSON in your group, or the alternate character he wished to powerlevel, let him or them help you do things together? Or if you are PL'ing some spot and another highpower character starts wandering around "your claimed" (absolutely forbidden) spot, ask that person to take both your characters in your group and let, him or her, do the same for you? Try to set a time limit as in: one hour each for example. Things may slow down a bit, but while you character is beeing levelled by your NEW friend you can do some other stuff... like chat with guild mate, hear what is going on in RVR, or play your second account a bit. Just be fair about the way you handle each other.
WHY DON't we make a new thread type:
EG: POWERLEVELLING SESSIONS AT TANGLERS.
my name is blablabla and i spend loads of time nuking tanglers with my cabalist, is there some other cabalist out there that could switch roles with me. Or are there some other cabalist willing to form a PL group, or even a guild that specialises in tanglers.
EG: FUN AND QUESTING PPL LOOKING FOR EVENINGS TO GO HUNT
My name is blablabla and i would like to go hunt in dartmoor on a regular base. Xp is nice in there and drops are nice. I will be departing to dartmoor every evening, or every thursday at 6 o' clock gmt and i am looking for 7 other ppl to join me in doing so.
if you would be a regular player and you would make some dates this way you would have a bussy shedule. reality will of course make it harder because you will not be able to attend all of those.. but these problems can be solved with a simple chat.
It may be that these thread types would be in violation with the CoC, i have no idea, but wouldn't these solve a lot of harrasing threads? Would they not solve a lot of " I am CAmping Here and i own this spot" type of problems?
OK, i can hear ppl think, won't you create some elite enviroment where only those types of player will be able to enter?
I don't think so, by grouping all types of people you will create more space.... i presume... you will not get angry when you come to that spot and it has been taken by someone else.... because you know that they will be there. that cabalists are hunting tanglers. It would not be hard to enter the cabalists guild if you have one yourselfe.. i would not be hard to know if there is a spot open over there??? Then the point , what about the other players wanting to hunt tanglers with a normal group...... well use your common sence.... if you are a "grouped organization and you see a group entering that spot, make sure they have a spot, for example, the aqueduct , if a sorc want to go there, or the beach, or even center tree spot, just give them a spot and arrange things in that guild unit. Would new gamers suffer from this??? Why should they, they start a cabalist for example... sorry an experienced caba meets that person, talks to him, makes him a member...... PL's him at the spot where that guild is specialized in....the story continues ))
for using the cabalists all the time...... i could have made just the same for wizards, i hear they are good in nuking solo in barrows for example.. togheter with theurgists and necros.....
What about the ppl playing a NON PL based class, fighters, scouts , infiltrators, mincers, clerics etc.....
When all the others are grouped at some spots, they wil have the rest of albion to hunt in... won't they???
Well this is it for now in this TO HUGE thread...... but i hope i can find some people that agreee with me on this. This is a non fictional thread, a real person that made it and a real person that would like to help those problems of ME ME ME ME out of the way.
i'm looking forward to hearing from you....
well i hope positive news , because most threads are quite destructive ))
