What realm should I choose ? What realm can use an old player again ?

Well I voted Mid, because they could really really use more people atm. But then again so could probably Hib (even though I think mid is slightly worse off).

Problem with Mid atm, is that its very hard for most finding any fgs at all. Especially setgroups. But sm, bd, zerk, healer, shaman is always sought after if there are any groups. Mids are really low on seers atm but then again if you dont land a group it sucks beeing one soo...as I started its all up to what you are after!

Hibs could probably use some decent bards/druids too, same as Mids (with healer/shaman that is!

Albs is a big nono...unless you enjoy running around without opposition. (its vastly outnumbering hibs and mids atm). But if you plan on soloing quite abit then I guess Alb is the best realm...with the horribly OP powers/classes they gotten for their zergs the last 6-7 months its atleast easy to get some RPs solo if you can find any enemies.

What you should start with as new mid: Well thats easy imo! Spiritmaster: solo/xp/rvr char that is fairly easy. If you have catacombs expansion and a bb its a piece of cake lvling to 50.

Just go instadungeons till you are 40 then join an mlmarathon and get fop on bot and ml9 on sm. (its easier than it sounds) And youll ding 50 faster than you can say "warlock".
As you ding 50 you use your summsm to farm the stuff you need and the money (summsm + fopbot can take most encounters/mobs in Toa and or masspull for scrollfarming). And when done you respec dark and go rvr your little toush off!

And as sm you always have the choice to respec supp at 40.99 (free respec) ding 41 get yellow pbae and go stand in moderna and get into a pl group there.

Any guilds around there is helpfull ? i just cba with guilds there.. cant do anything in rvr.. or have too many schoolkids!

Can't help you with the transfer :/
But if you ever liked hybrids both thanes and valkyries is viable now (and will be more so after next patch, with levi-like dd style procs), there's no bad tank class now really though, so go with what you fancy the most .

i'm not gonna say what to choose. cluster servers has a good advantage.
for example on excal server go for mid char and on pryd go for hib and see. if you dont like something /delete char and go for albs. see what is good or not and decide what side is better to play
