Ok, day 1 of Heavy Metal was awesome, a new scneario which is the best of them all by a mile, play the scenario and thats you first day's task done. Really got the sense that this was the start of a fun few weeks and the Mythic had lots of great things planned for the event.

Then comes day 2....do 3 steps in a random PQ....erm....ok. So a level 40 can wander to a Tier 1 PQ and complete it in a few minutes....really don't see the relevance or the point of this.

With many more days of this to come, already i have completely lost interest.

I was online for 4hrs last night, had flag for this scenario the whole time and it didn't pop for me once.

It popped twice for me in about 5 hours.

Day 1 was bullshit, pure and simple.

Day 2 is also bullshit - but for different reasons - you can go back and solo a chapter 1 pq in the course of about 5 minutes and get the update.

Totally bizarre that day 1 was - literally and absolutely - impossible for me to do, and day 2 takes 5 minutes. Do they take a lot of drugs at Mythic or what?

Do the ones in the city if you like, you can do Stage 1 of a few PQ's to get the unlock.

Guess I was lucky. Scenario popped once and when I appeared in scenario it was to see the score 483 Destruction - 500 Order. 2 seconds later and I was back out again, however it did count as my daily task completed.

Oh and the PQ is what you make of it. Yeah at high level you could go solo a T1 PQ but that's your choice. Nothing to stop you getting some friends together and doing a PQ closer to your lvl range. Don't blame the event just because you're lazy

wanted revenge on that hero engineer bloke.

Spent the next few hours getting tome unlocks in the noob zones - quite fun in a "ooh look I remember this bit" kinda way.

I got yesterday's 3 levels of PQ done by doing the 1st part of the Empire ch14 Cemetery quest 3 times...
Took time, but with the rate scenarios pop in T3 these days it was doable with some help from my DPS-bot friends. (my runie doesn't exactly dish out incredible amounts of dps...)

Thats not the point at all.

The point is that the event is developing into a cop-out from the second day. It's not an event to do a PQ, it's about all there is to do on a daily basis when your not pvping. Bit of a slap in the face imo, but we'll see what the rest of the "event" has to offer.

I have to agree with you on this one.
As I said earlier, you didn't even need to do a full PQ, doing one phase over and over was enough... Feels like a grand accomplishment indeed...

I don't care about the event really anyway because I find tanking boring. But I like the new scenario, even if it is really laggy for me.

Ok today I agree with you. What could of been an event with purpose and something intersting to do is now one big joke. But yeah something more intersting lke the events they used to have on DAoC rather than "carry on with your day to day activities" would of been nice.

So those of us who could keep up with the days events are now "why bother" since they have changed the event so that you can now accomplish all the events whenever you like regardless of wether you missed a day....lame!

I think you fail to see the other side of the coin. I missed the first event, by the time I had any chance to play the game it was on the 2nd event.

Why would I bother taking part in the Reikland Factory scenarios knowing that I'd have no chance of achieving the end goal? It would make it more difficult for you in the long run as fewer people would join the scenario if they didn't need/want to do any other parts of the event.

This has been fixed now.

By popular request, players will now be able to complete previous daily tasks for the Heavy Metal event. A task will continue to unlock each day and remain open until the end of the event allowing players to complete all the tasks at their convenience. Please Note: If you notice an apparent loss of credit for any previous days you have already completed simply exit the game entirely and log back in to correct this issue.

did day 3 today cause i was at work yesterday and missed it, scout the factory got all 4 bits sc ended and went back to praag then server crashed and now its back at day 2 baahh, 2 hours waiting for sc now i gotta do it again.

Tbh the PQ one should have been level restricted and more stages needed. Something that is promoting group PvE and comunity and people take the easy road by doing a PQ far below them
