You'll see in the log that I only used one instant heal (healed 638), but I also hit sprint at one point, then stunned him and healed up (my root is only 9 seconds )

Wrote a quick stats program, and came up with these stats:
Melee damage: 1680 over 38 hits (average 44.210526316 )
Damage add: 1717 over 38 hits (average 45.184210526 )
Damage shield: 923 over 25 hits (average 36.92 )
Total damage done: 4320
Total melee damage taken: 2381 over 25 hits (average 95.24 )

Oh, and since people will probably ask that, the jewel is +4 envenom +6 str/dex, and the other drops I've gotten from him are a necklace with +4 mending, +6 con/pie, and these two oddly-coloured pieces:

Think someone screwed up the con on thoose Highlords and King. Orange/red con drakulvs go down alot faster.

Already gave it away, along with the drops I got from the high lords on the way out.
FYI, they were a necklace with dex+6 qui+6 critical strike+4 and a cloak with con+6 qui+6 stealth+4.

We were 2 lvl 50 shield thanes fighting him.... had to Use IP cos of his damn nuke

He spawns with different difficulty...

Piff failed to mention that she has also lost to him before.
As I have when I got a tough spawn.

The easy spawn can be done almost without IP, toughest one will be at 50% after you've use IP and FA2...

Btw, I have one of those jewels too.

Actually the current score is Piffany vs King Hresvelgr, 2-2 - I had to figure out how to do it before I could beat him My fight took 3 minutes and 14 seconds, but then again, I'm a solo healer, don't do all that much melee damage

Oh, and as for high/low spawns - he doesn't vary that much, a level 42 told me he'd seen him as mostly red, once orange. I didn't notice any major difference between the two times I beat him, save that a bit better reactions let me make it with one instant (and 5% life... I like living life on the edge ) the second time.

What type of melee dmaage does he do and what magic damage types does he do. When I have soem info on this I will go solo his ass

My guess would be magic is either energy, body or spirit, as he hit for way less than he used to since I got my buffs

That's 37% off - makes me think he does slash.

I believe his DD is heat...as it gives the same message as an enchanters Light based DD.

He uses: A permanent Disease attack (3 minutes) and it does it to you every time you hit him or he hits you (just accept you're going to be diseased the whole fight.

He DD's for around 130.

He has a self attack speed buff which CANNOT be stopped.

He has a paladin style heal chant.

And HE WILL DD your healer if the healer is in range.


As for the Lord's. One is energy (lightning), one is fire, and one is ice. They have AE attacks and damage shields.

The Fire one appears to drop caster items.
Ice drops stealth/SB stuff.
Energy dropped seer stuff.

They are like WoW's. Can go lots of kills without drops, and then get 2/3 in one go.

It's not necessarily your healer he'll be DDing like mad. Just killed him grouped, and after one DD from a runie Hresvelgr stood and cast DDs at the runie while I was hitting him in melee.

Also, for any healers trying to solo him, I can recommend purging disease before using instaheals as our instaheals unlike First Aid or Ignore Pain are halved by disease9

The high lords are most likely level 44-46 or so (mostly blue, sometimes yellow to 50) and are unlike Hresvelgr not all that hard to solo, though a yellow to 50 spawn can pose a challenge.

Interesting... every single item you listed there seems to be ideally either for a Healer or a Shadowblade... wonder if he drops class-specific stuff depending on the person that kills him. Having said that I spent about 6 levels in Varulv and *every* single item that dropped was for an SB, so might just be a bias for them in there.
