Ch3tan - think you must have missed the point

A HUNDRED POUNDS !!!!!!!!!.

u must have missed the bit in one of the "Who are u posts" when I said I was Scottish.

£100 is about £90 more than I wanted to pay for them.

My hearings crap at the best of time - dont think £100 of hardware is going to improve it.

Appreciate the response (you helpful kindo of person  ) but wot about the headphones above. any good?

Make sure your headphones don't clash with your eyes or hair. For evening gameplay, why not smarten them up with a subtle sprinkling of glitter? Similarly for play during the summer days a simple daisy in the volume control will lighten your appearance and make you the belle of the ball!

If you have big ears don't wear headphones.

Call Centre

To match your new headset, why not download a call-centre simulator? Prefect strangers will call your house, and give you grief, via your headset.

Educational and fun.

a. Dont have much hair left
b. dont have a mirror in the study therefore no clash can be interpreted

Play with the lights out so no need to smarten up (Unles the Queen was gonna visit)

If you have big ears don't wear headphones.

Was actually refused entry to the police cos my ears WERENT big enough to hold the helmet up

I have that set of headphones for rogerwilco gaming Lazarus, they're pretty reasonable and do the job. The sound quality isnt poor, although its not excellent, but its sufficient for a game of Tribes 2 :)

For none-gaming I use a pair of £60 Sony RF ones, very very nice headphones.

funny you should mention labtecs.

I have just come off their website and they looked pretty reasonable, both specwise and design.

Only thing that you never know is the sound quality

Ill maybe give them a try - look better in a lot of ways to the Plantronic.

Rumble headphones

I bought some of the rumble fx headphones for a bit of a laugh (£35), they are force feedback so you feel vibrations on your ears when you launch a rocket in quake3. You can turn em off if that bothers you and the sound quality is quite good. For voice over net I use the microsoft game-voice headset , controller and software. I think the price is getting better for this nowadays (£40-50) and the technology actually works!!! The head set looks close to the one you show but the added controller for talking to some or all team-mates is priceless. It also does rudimentary voice recognition, so when you say Rocket launcher you change weapons to the rocket launcher. I dont know what your scottish accent will do to it, but you can train it to recognise your voice, unless you are mute???--then i guess you could bang the table with your head?
