Right, for all you unlucky guys who dont yet have your preorder keys. Heres the EU AoC download manager file. Just extract and run.
Yes its the official one, ive just been emailed the link by funcom.
Please virus scan the file, not saying i have anything ( i did scan the file before uploading it ), but im not being held responsable if anyone gets something from it.:touch:

Right click save as please

Info about the DL manager can be read here

Its a large file, around 13GB and the DLM works on a torrent type system.

Good luck

Indeed, although in the official thread funcom specifically stated not to spread it around

Dunno if there are any legal implications for FH on linking it here, as technically funcom are only offering the service AFTER you've paid.

hope the link stays up though =]

Well
The mods in the beta forums have not censored it

At the end of the day, unless you've paid for the early-access the files are useless to you anyhow

Well its a P2P client, so i dont see how its useing there bandwith, Also no where in the email they sent does it say i can not share it. Only thing i had to do was log into my account to download it. heres the email

Welcome to the Age of Conan Early Access Program!

You've chosen to be among the select few who can venture into Hyboria to carve out your destiny and establish your name before the masses arrive.

To start your journey you will first have to download and install the client available at https://register.ageofconan.com/ with your account XXXXXXXXXX

Once installed the client can be patched to the latest version from May 14th, so that you're fully prepared to start your journey.

I know alot of people who pre ordered with Play.com who arnt gunan get keys till the 15th. Downloading 13GB in 2 days is going to suck. So i thought why not share it. Its usless unless you get a key anyhow.

Btw if its not working when you start it up, pause it then press play. That got the ball rolling for me.

Havent really logged onto Boss in months myself
So I finally cancelled my subs last week

But AoC beta has kept me content for the last month or so
Looking forward to a proper release where my chars don't get wiped

Still undecided on PvE or PvP server though

Yea.. can't decide either

I've trying both out in beta
And the PvP server was just a childish-gank-fest
Spending 20minutes just trying to get off the rezz stone without insta dying to the 5 morons 15 level higher than you waiting there was enough to make me log

But PvE alone won't be enough to keep me interested in a game

I need to spend some time in the border regions I guess to get a flavour for the PvP on the regular servers
The mini-games are ok for quick fixes, but I want PvP in open regions and the odd bit of siege

Sound like camlann :p but yea that rly retarded, hope they will fix that whit some kind of penalty or the server will not have many players left in like 6 months.

Sadly it's not like DaoC with loads of NIF files you can open up and have a rumage around in

Conan seems to run with from it's own internal database engine (not sure what flavour it is, havent been able to work it out) so the content is all lumped together in big DB data files

The thing that did strike me however is the inclusion of the DX10 dlls in the installer, which were missing from the beta clients

All that cash I spent on a new system won't go to waste now

Correct. In AO you could extract all in-game items (no loottables ofc, they are server-side) from the resource database files there, but in AOC they made it harder.

You can snoop around in the cd_image folder though, there you can find huge lists of names they use, the movies in .bik format, the Gui in xml format and alot of mockups, old and outdated stuff that were in earlier builds of aoc beta.
