Hi, bought a new Lexsor 32" HD-TV ready tv earlier today, messing around with it and hooked it up to the xbox.. looking sexeh but there's no sound :| any different wires needed than you get with the console (more expensive version) or do we (me, brother, dad) suck and have setup the wires wrong? :Z

I assume you're using HDMI for the vid - it doesn't transfer the sound through that - the xbox should have an output for stereo RCA or optical digital - there should be inputs for one of these on your tele.

Xbox360 only does component, no HDMI option.

You need to use the component cables and the RCA for sound, or the component cables and optical out for digital surround.

HDMI does carry sound by the way, it is DVI that only carries picture.

xbox360 is amazing with a large hdtv, but when i watch normal tv on it, close up it looks like you're watching a low qual mpeg ;e like blocky/they move.. pretty bad quality, it's perfect with 360 tho ;o

running it through freeview which should get a nice picture

Thats the main reason why I haven't bought a HDTV yet, Digital TV improves the quality somewhat but I suppose it will be 5yrs before HDFreeview, and I can't afford a SkyHD box.
