Allergy relievers (red light therapy via a couple of prongs up the nose) work well for me. They're about £20 from Lloyds pharmacies.

This is after many, many years of trying every drug available. I'm allergic to ALL pollens (which is rare, most are allergic to a handful) so to find something that actually has any effect at all is great. I'd recommend them, although others probably wouldn't. Treating hayfever is very different in different people.

of recent times, say the last 6 years, Ive felt horrible at certain times of the year. sneezing, coughing, flu-like symptoms, itchy eyes (like the edge of my frigging eyelids, how'd you manage that :() and also very itchy and painful ear passages.

I've always denied it, but since Saturday I am going to talk to my GP about it :(

My H/F been playing up today. Itchy eyes, the sniffles. Managed to get through all that warm weather with virtually nothing, then today,...BAM! May have to look for a stronger OTC remedy. Currently using Tesco's own.

The only part temperature has to do with hay fever is in determining when plants think they're ready to pollenate. Just because it's warm or hot doesn't mean you'll suffer.

Has anyone tried those 'Qu-Chi' bands?

Some lady at work was raving about them the other day. It's supposed to be something relating to accupuncture - not sure if it works though - but just curious if someone has used them and whether they are any good.

You'd have more effect dipping your penis in a puddle.

I used to use 10mg Loratadine. Worked fine, but Tesco just ran out of them. Need hayfever pills for tomorrow so just bought 10mg of Cetrizine instead

According to the Elders of the Internet, Cetrizine has a much higher chance of causing drowsiness. Anyone experienced this with Cetrizine?

I've used cetirizine-based antihistamines for yonks and I've seldom felt drowsy on them.

The last 4 days have been hell, can't breathe through my nose and feel like death warmed up. My usual medication can't cope so the pollen count must be unusually high, cunting council were out grass cutting today as well. :(

Virtually zero hay fever so far. Been taking a Loratadine pill in the morning. Either they're doing their job, or the pollen count has been low so far this year.

Not had any this year really. I take Benadryl out of habit though because my hayfever used to cause massive nose bleeds...to the point where I would start to feel light headed. It also used to bring on asthma (I don't suffer from it normally) I haven't had either for a few years though. Sods law, the year I stop taking Benadryl is the year it starts again.

Nose bleeds!? Not heard of hayfever causing those. Gosh, you had it pretty bad then. Makes my watery eyes and sniffles seem like nothing

Yup I get those nose bleeds as well. This year it's not been so bad. Not had one yet
