Having to reboot to rejoin game

This started when downloading patch. I found that when download stopped due to 301 error the only way it started downloading again was after a reboot.

Since then when I leave game by either LD or logging out, I find that I get server not responding when I try to rejoin. This can be several hours later and using differnt ISP, or trying straight away. I then reboot and get in without problems, and idea what is going on?

well as regards the ld thing, or for that matter if you just hit the windows key by accident, i find that sometimes it tends to keep running, but not properly, ie it shuts down, but doesnt get told to bugger off into the nether regions of your grandma's undies .

tried using ctrl+alt+del to get the options menu up so you can manually shutdown daoc? get rid of the remenants first then try logging back on, has allways worked for me
