Ignore him n3bie.

Its typical of some people in here who have double standards. These people believe its not ok for someone relatively new to the forums to post these threads but it is ok for those who have been around awhile to do so.

I agree they are a waste of a thread but if someones going to flame one then flame all. The only reason why he picked on you is that you are relatively easy prey, being new to the forum.

Get a clue... People will and have always whinged about the posting of 'FAO' threads no matter who by. The only exception would be when the content could be of public interest; not the case here :/

Ah, the joy of talking only in text, you can read any statement in so many different ways. Scooba was being jokey/ironic, but it could very easily be misread. The reason regulars don't get flamed so badly is because they just ignore it. Though I did like the secret code reply, made me chuckle.

Itchee I know where you are coming from but my point is that here is a perfect example of a regular forum user trying to get the point across that its not the done thing to post FAO threads but

a) going about in the wrong manner and in such a way that the new user is either offended or confused

b) not leading by example. And by that I mean that the forum is full of FAO threads, most of which have been started by regular users.

I was wondering when my thread to Scooba would turn up, but its kinda wasted seeing as Scooba has already stated that he was paraphrasing a film so there really is no having a go at newbie, is there? I prefer to start a thread to someone as there is more chance that they will see it quicker, I have done it many, many times and I feel no shame.
