Harpy Feather Charm bugged?

I have done both quest and sub quest twice and cannot get the bunch of harpy feathers to drop. These are needed for the Harpy Feather charm.

Has anyone else had the same problem and if so how was it resolved?

This is one of the most common bug reports that we see on RightNow.
The only bits which are a guaranteed drop are the ones you need for the legs, the others are random and so you will be very lucky indeed to get all the extra items each time. This isn't a bug but the way the encounter has been designed.

Why then, do people have to report it to RN to get the charm?

hehe sorry to rub it in but ive done this twice now and got all the items..best thing to do is stand at one pillar and DONT MOVE..dont go round to the other one...just stand and do yer thing... not sure if dropping the items helps tho.. maybe if you got the needed item then dropped it...would it still count? cos if it didnt you could keep going until u got it

This imo proves that the sub quest is bugged. Having to drop items so that u do not complete the /forage part is bollox.

I managed to complete using my merc, bloody good job I have lvl 50 alts. Im sorry to say this but yet again Customer supports claims that " this encounter is working as intended" is utter rubbish. This is just a cop out.

It is working as intended.

Mythic did NOT intend for everyone to get all possible rewards everytime. Its been discussed on their website a few times already - search for the link if you want

Of course they should've known better. The last time they tried having a quest with rewards that not everyone gets they had to back down and make the quest repeatable. When the whines from that got out of hand a limit of 10 attempts to get all items was introduced. (Mid quest, Alb/Hib versions were added later. Albion version is 'Lost Stone of Arawn' - whines were over the 80 utility necklace that virtually everyone used before TOA arrived)

When I did the quest first time I didn't get any Bunch of Feathers.. did it with an alt and got 4!

Ehm could be wrong but I think I just had a normal feather not a bunch of feathers...
