Rememeber it? it was on about a week or two ago..

Well, do you remember when that IT Cop come in to check Shipmans Computer, he used some sort of Program that retrieved files from a later date (Because Shipman modified them the day after Patients died)..

Anyone have a clue what method the Cop used to do it? Or what Program could do it?

And is there anyway what-so-ever of "blocking" them from looking at it?

Im just curious, because it sounds like a nice thing to have / know

I don't think he actually recovered files, he simply looked at the audit trail of the patient database software and noted that retrospective amendments were made to all the victims, specifically directly after they died.

Could also be Microsoft Word as that keeps an audit of all changes made.

I only saw a snippet of the documentry, could have missed something more explainatory.

Incidently I downloaded this handy file shredder to check it out, the user comments suggest spyware but I have tried it and my firewall has not detected anything, additionally Ad-Aware did not detect anything either.

There is an "automatically check for updates" option that is off by default, maybe those people who commented meant this.
