Lo guys!

I've been trying to start "for real" on Camlann for quite a while now. Rolled a few chars, but the lack of decent equipment and the fact that I get killed everytime I try and find a nice place to level kinda isn't very cool.

Mind you, I really LOVE PVP and I don't mind people killing me ofc, but does anyone have some advice as to what to do as a new player on Camlann? I have /leveled a 20 skald, and basically I need a nice hunting spot and some better equipment (got that free stuff from Jordheim).

Also, as I am totally new at this PVP server stuff -- do people have BBs here? Isn't it risky? Don't they get wtf pwned when they're standing around alone?

just think about where you wouldn't go if you were on a normal server, cus it would be far away/no groups etc. then go there :)

I don't have any personal favorites at that level, always leveled through pvp or with a friend, but i'm sure the others can help you with that :p

as for bots, some people do indeed have them, but they are pretty rare and often only used for pve, as its quite a big hastle to pvp with one where it can get killed if you dont hide it well and you have to rebuff every time you port/die. I played for a long time at lower levels with a friend who had a bot, and even tho it was hidden in pretty obious spots, it didn't get killed nearly as often as you'd maybe think; just put it somewhere where people dont usually run if you're gonna use one (which is imo lame considering most ppl DONT have one).

edit: in the high 20s, consider OTDs in muspelheim for good-ish skald equipment :)

Cheers m8!

I'm gonna reroll my skald to Norse, but where should I place my first 30 points?

Also, is 47 songs, 44 hammer, rest parry a viable spec @ 50?

:)

and why go 47 bs? 46 is the usual spec.. (I'm 46/44axe/17 and wish i was hammer instead ;))

This server is really odd... I join a grp to help some people form a guild... well.. since I just left the 'starter guild', I can't help them anyways, so they decide to kick me and kill me!

Very nice of them :S

Oh well

Btw; how does one gain good xp from PVP'ing? So far I've only killed people my lvl (20) and I don't really see that XP bar moving at all :puke:

Because they were no reward? :p

It also happens a lot that someone who's hurt by mobs or other players gives close to 0 rps/exp

PvP gives crazy amounts of exp at low levels if you know where to hunt :)
They gotta be rewarded, you can check by clicking on them.. If it says
[Gimp] Is worth no reward, he won't give you exp, if it says [Gimp] he'll give you exp. Hope this helps
