Hard to get ML XP ?

Recently my thane, Bashir, went from ML5 to ML8, however, he still lacked the ML xp to ding ML6, ML7 and ML8...

So I thought, I'll go solo the Triton Shaman abit.. it used to give good ml xp..
But wtf, this mofo only gives 3% ml xp, so seen the time it took me to keel it, it aint really worth chaining 33 times per ml level...

Then I took some of my guildies that didnt have ML1.1 credit and did the step twice. I didn't even get ANY ml xp from it..

So I went out to RvR. Emain ofcourse. For once I found a group (who wants thanes, lol), we get steamrolled twice and split up. 1% ml xp in 1 hour.

Something else then I thought. ML5. In a group filled with ppl that need credit for all steps. My ml xp bar went from 17% or so to 73%. For the whole raid. uke:

So I ask now, anyone got GOOD ideas to get ml xp (need 313% atm), tested after 1.69. cuz I think they must have changed something since last patch. (Before it was piss easy to get ml xp)

Sadly there is no way to get ML xp very fast. Attending ml raids is imo best chance u have, unless u are member of a rvr oriented guild, cause good rvr is a nice and easy way to get it 2.

I plan to make some more 5.10 killing the big mob raids, as it gives nice drops and like 37% ml xp, and u can kill it in less than 1 hour with a 1.5 fg.

Best bet is to go to do some RvRing. Sadly its easier said than done. But if u have some RvR friends / do RvR in guild, try to get into the group.

If you get shark out to Meso, not far from the stablemaster there, you can hunt Triton Priests and Priestesses. They con orange to red at 50 and come with 2 adds, sometimes nukers. They give ML xp every kill. Not the fastest pop in the world and they have agro, but its steady ML xp.

For safety, 2-3 peeps for this. Not fanatastic ML xp, but it works

Triton Shaman (somewhat purple) spawns near there too and is worth ML xp.

Also, if you have enough peeps and can be bothered, you can camp the Melos Wave Master (Ceremonial Bracers Arti mob, check VoS for details). He pops quite fast and gives good ML xp if you have the right peeps to take him down. No longer than 10 mins per pop. He doesn't drop bracers every time but he does give good ML xp.

I went from ml4 to ml6 in 2 evenings taking ppl through ml7 group steps. Its also worth just going on one run through an ml3+ higher raid. U get massive amounts of ml xp by leeching from those ml raids you have already done.

7% per kill I think. It's not that bad I suppose and you get some bracers too
Most often it seems to pop in 5 mins and perhaps in rare cases 10.
It can be farmed with one healer, two tanks and a shaman provided you got powerfield. Of course, more the merrier since the 7% ML exp is static whether you're alone or full group.

I think Moriad got nearly 200% for his runemaster on ML6 BG steps raid, he visited arbiter to ding between

Some raids are just not worth much of it, Ml1 I think atleast is no good.
Sounds weird if you got only that little ML exp for doing all ML5 groupsteps, I remember it giving more.. Or was it BG steps raid ? In that case you'd only get exp from 5.10 probably and not 5.9.

When we did 5.10 (twice, it repopped during lotto) i got 0% xp from both pops.

Its kinda wierd, i plan to attend the ml4 raid tonight tho, hope at least some of the steps give some decent mlxp, so ill ding ml3 and be able to do the ml7 group steps soon

Cami you were prob in a group of ppl who hadn't done it before. I may be wrong however, but I believe that you only get ml xp when others in your group haven't done the ml step before.

you wont get any mlxp for a ml5 raid when your not even ml3 yet, even if you got the steps done.
You need to be at least at same ml-level as the ml-raid your joining to get mlxp

Didn't I also read something odd about the group leader getting more MLexp than someone in slot 8 for the helping through lower steps reward? I've never actually paid much attention myself, so it may just be VN rumours.

RvR is the best way though, then if helping isn't working/not avaliable, some arti encounters, CB mob (anyone else noticed the drop rate on this is HORRIBLE after the patch? ), Zahur is excellent, DF Highlords/princes if you are a bit poor cause these are great money too. Good luck, it's one of the most annoying things.

Is it just me or do the rules for getting ML xp seem overly complex to anyone else?

you wont get any mlxp for a ml5 raid when your not even ml3 yet, even if you got the steps done.
You need to be at least at same ml-level as the ml-raid your joining to get mlxp

And here i was convinced you would get mlxp for any mlx.10 mob?

x.10 mobs give mlxp, got nice ammount when we kill 3.10 mob (when doing ml3 steps)

Most of the ML5 group steps are actually treated as quests so there is only a few of them that actually give mlxp.

ye, and thats why i think its changed.

Before 1.69 when u clicked a big ML mob, it said This mob is worth ml xp, i checked it on ML5.10 mob and it didnt say that anymore

Yes I think too they changed it, I noticed it on my sm she is still lacking ml 4 because of not enough xp and its the first time I have this, my other characters have more then enough each time I finish a ml.

So I am trying to do ml 4 again with her and will see what happens then.

I did 99% of my MLxp on ml-raids... some raids gave me 21% per step (depending on the group members ofcourse), so I still think 'helping your lower realm-mates with their trials' is way fastest mlxp...

Oh, I'm a full ml8, so after the raid on friday i can directly activate ml9...

Well .. I got 100% MLexp yesterday on the Ml4 raid

i stayed for 3 encounters .. 4.2 gave 57% alone .. then the following 2 maxed it.

Now im ready for ml9 friday

Got most of it rvring myself, tho when I helped on a ml4 prequist group, I went 50% to 97% of ml8 in 2 steps.

Doing arties, attending ml raids again and killing people seem both around same pace tbh.
