Well, what can a chap say?

My guest book this morning is absolutely bulging with birthday greetings, well there's five new entries anyway. It bought a tear to my eye it did, of course that may be down to the hangover!

Yes, yes, I know I haven't been around here for ages. In fact it's been so long that my name now has "old." in front of it and I don't seem to be able to change it back. Oh well, I suppose it is appropriate!

One of the reasons I haven't been around much is that I seemed to have much more time to post stuff when I was working. (No, it's not called skiving it's called delegation!) I'm still looking for a job and it ain't easy. All the companies seem to be sending their work to India where it's far cheaper, so the outlook is pretty bleak. I was offered a job recently, but it was too far to travel every day so I had to turn it down which pissed me off no end. I suppose something will turn up eventually. Anyone got any spare change? I have two cats and a network to support!

I had rather a bizarre birthday by the way. I was appearing in the County Court! No, not in the dock! I was a character witness for a friend. I won't go into details of the case but it seems to me that the system has nothing to do with truth and justice, it's all about barristers doing deals with eachother. A very interesting morning it was.

Anyway, thanks for all the birthday greetings, I'll try and make the effort to post here more often.

P.S. Will, I'm sorry my webby doesn't work in Opera, but you did read the disclaimer didn't you? Perhaps even that doesn't display properly in Opera. I'd better check. I'll try and improve the compatibility when I revamp it next.

Yeah, those funky little menus at the top don't work. I read the disclaimer, but I had to get my bitching in. The main Barrysworld site is the same, I blame MS, as I blame them for everything anyway.

Ironically, my current website doesn't align properly in Opera 6, as was pointed out last night. Ho hum.
