Happened a few times to me now, and i'm not the only person. Whats going on? I DL'ed it from DAoC website (btw this is US). Pain in the ass

jepp. same goes for me - only help i found on the mythic support page about it was have windows update up to date (that sounded kinda odd ;P). but the problem is still there. anyone else been having the same problems? (i have installed ToA from their own trial file. and ive tried with EU CDs too. no help - same thing.

Change your update.dat from the English update to the American update newb

Or, open the update.dat and if it says 'Catacombs' or 'Darkness' for example in it, change it to 'Atlantis' if you're trying to patch to ToA.

Would be a great idea if we Dled the EU versions and were patching to the US. however - both of us formated our PCs recently. and both of us DLed the US version of the game from the mythic web pages. now - with freshly formated PCs AND US version. why oh why dont they work? it wasnt like this last time i patched to US (heck. now it dont even work if o copy a EU client and try to patch it to US. same message).

Well thats the exact same message I was getting when my update.dat was wrong. Copy and paste yours here! ;d

I got it working again. it do seems like the update.dat files that follows the 14 day trial ToA is wrong/corrupt/outdated whatever - but when i got the update file from a friend of mine it worked like a charm. odd


(and fyi - my pr0n is 1st class -.-)
