Well i didn't wanna seem like the other fotm i r quiting peeps, ive been inactive for 2 months or so in DAOC. The reason i ended up being inactive was because of the ld's and lagg n shit, which made it awful to try and play. But once i started taking a break, i realised over a few weeks that i wasn't missing DAOC anymore. Which is why im quiting now. It seems that ive lost any interest i still had in the game, it just never felt like much fun anymore and most of the friends i had have departed.
Here is a quick summary of my time on DAOC
Its been nearly 3 years since i started DAOC, with my first main being a Paladin way back in alb pryd going by the name Taggart McWallace, where i was in a number of nice guilds from The Lost Souls to The 30.
Then departing those shores to mid pryd, where i played a runemaster called Snozrick, where i was in the guilds Eye of Odin and Maelstrom.
Then moving to Hibernia excalibur where i made a lil luwi champ called Retro Funkmeister. Who was in Tuatha De Dannan( i think thats what there name was
), with alot of nice people.....until it died and most of us merged with a guild called Amirger Et Dementis which was a very nice guild with good players. Then i ended up giving the account away, for a number of reasons. I then joined up with a guild that a few friends were in called Soul Reavers, a funny bunch of drunks from mainly the UK and Turkey, where i had a shade called Autokarma. Later i ended up making a druid by the name of Robot for a laugh. Didn't think it would be a class id actually enjoy, but after a while it ended up being a class i liked alot. Sometime later when i was near lvl 50 on Robot, i left SR(for reasons to do with rl m8's) and ended up being unguilded for sometime. Till i was asked one day by some old friends who were guildies of mine in The 30 to join Vengeance. This was the best thing to happen to me in DAOC, as i joined a guild where i actually felt a part of, making many new friends and enjoying the thing i liked most about DAOC, rvring
Six months or so later though the guild fell into trouble, with alot leaving for one thing or another....and with many good friends leaving the game Vengeance was left with really just me at one point. I took over as GM to try get it back to something close to what it was before, which turned out impossible for me. There just didn't seem to be enough good players playing at the time and the ones that was, were happy in their guilds. So the guild a few days ago was passed to Kranes and i now look towards a new challenge in World of Warcraft and finishing college.
I hope my lil story about my time on DAOC hasn't bored you all too much, and hope to see you guys in the future! All the best to everyone hib excal and alb and mid pryd!
May the force be with you!
