When you're pumping some iron and your hands hurt, do you find it hard to get it up ?

was lookin thro various websites an most weightlifting an even gymnastic folks use chalk as it will help for grip cos it drys the hands and thus stops them slipping.however because it drys the skin it would be best to wash the chalk off asap after use an use some sort of hand cream to prevent chapping/cracking of the skin from drying out too much.
