Hammer - Sword - Axe ???

Im respeccing from sword on my lvl 50 skald but i dont konw what to choose... can any1 help ??

There is very little in it anymore, following the patch ...

Crush damage is good against Alb plate/leather and Hib leather/reinforced, but poor against Alb chain/studded and Hib scale.

Slash damage is good against Hib scale and poor against Hib leather/reinforced.

As for the differences between Axe and Sword ...

Swords tend to be quicker and the styles have more 'to hit' bonuses.

Axe styles tend to have more special effects like bleed, stun, attack slow or snare.

I've decided to go sword with my Thane (sword 44 sc 46 shield 42) for Slam+Assualt+IceStorm or Slam+PolarRift+PolarRift combos, and go axe with my Warrior (Axe 50 shield 42 parry 37) for Slam+Havoc+TyrsFury combo.

I can say I love my axe when I tested it on gorre.

Hammer - Sword - Axe

If I were you, I'd go for the axe. You swing faster with swords but do a little less damage. You swing slower with axes but do more damage.

Guys i have made Midgard my new home and have created a skald.. now lvl 27.

Just want to confirm that you would reccomend not using hammer then?

or go hammer til lvl40 and respec it to axe then

mainly for provoke in PvE
