Halow preview on barrysworld and GAME

Does it matter? Whether the review was written for GAME and put on BarrysWorld or vice versa doesn't really matter. What's matters is that after much, much to long a gap, BarrysWorld is finally getting some content.

I for one hope it continues. Oh and btw, CJ is a console loving freak So maybe he actually thought it deserved 10/10

Are a company directly selling games ever likely to give even an exceptionally average game a shitty review?

Then again, who knows what backhanders PC magazines are getting from games companies these days - it was bad enough 4/5 years ago (and yes I've worked for one before, so don't come the "raw prawn" and say "I'm sure they are purely objective" )

Reviews aren't worth doing IMO (I only buy PC magazines if I've got a mention in them somewhere - ie hardly ever), the only way to see if you will like the game is to go and get a demo of it. Reviews ARE good for screenshots and general fact finding about a game, but as for whether I trust the subjective opinions of the reviewer, well that's another thing.

BW and GAME are part of the same company. What's wrong with them sharing reviews ??

Halo has been given 10/10 or 90+% all over the shop. Since you haven't played it any comments along the lines of it only getting that score so GAME can sell more copies are completely unjustified. Halo has squillions of rave reviews from ppl who have played it whereas you are just a bunch of whing0rs

i'd suggest getting a trusted third party to write them, or making them totally user-driven like the ShackNews ones

everything is just pimping, and looks lame

They are NOT taking them from a games retailer, GAME and BW are part of the same company, the people that do the online content for one are also hired to do it for the other. Why do some poeple still have trouble understanding this?
