Just wondering what you think of Halo 2, if u think its better or worse than the original. tbh i think its a lot better but some people on live have been bitching about it being a half assed attempt (wtf?) anyhow just give put down what you think.

I reckon combat is better bcuz of dual wielding but the no health bar bit kinda sucks because you dont really know how close you are to dieing.. unless i didnt see that yet :) finished story and ending a bit predictable...

I only played the original Halo on the PC, and while it was fun for a while, I got lost at one point, and didn't know what to do.. so I stopped playing, without completing it (never played it multiplayer).

I've now got Halo 2, and while at first, I can't say I was all that impressed (I'm not a huge fan of controls on console shooters), it's grown on me in a big way...

I can't offer a true comparason between the two games, but I think that Halo 2 is very good, and if not better than the original, then at least on par with it.

I think the Halo series is one of those console FPS's that play well on a pad, I tend to put the sensetivity up so it feels more like a mouse when moving.

No I can't understand why people are so miffed about the story, it ends like any second game, film, book in a trilogy. (leaving u wanting more)

BTW

I am creating a Halo 2 clan RMA (real men alliance) this weekend to live out my old Myth 2 days there is a page on the bungie site and hopefully people will join me.

I found Halo 2 pretty crap, but then I've hardly touched either Halo game as I don't like wannabee FPS' on consoles. Personally from what I remember Halo looked far nicer than Halo 2... perhaps I just am not remembering it that well. Watching my friend play Halo 2 just made me think "thank fuck I have a PC with HL2". Controls looked annoying, gameplay looked very annoying and the way monsters died and just randomly came at you whilst you effortlessly sprayed them in a gh3y way just made me think ugh.

Don't see the appeal of Halo or Halo 2 yet.

Bloody last level on Halo got on my nerves, driving that bloody warthog was the biggest pain in the ass ever.

Would of been nice if it let you SWITCH between 4x and 2x wheel drive.
Only thing i like about Halo is the co-op, bit lame you can't play co-op Online.

I do like the AI improvements to the soldiers on Halo 2, its fun being the gunner on a warthog while they drive it.

Oh and WTF! they ruined the Shotgun on halo 2, the sence of pure power just vanished from it.

finished it on saturday night, Halo2 is far better but lack of co-op option on live is a tad crap. the AI of the fellow marines and Coventant on later levels is good.
but the last level boss type besrerk was the easiest part in the whole game.

what i think

it all depends what your going for , if your looking for good story long-term gaming , go with halo one , if your looking for online action and newer fetures and graphics , go halo to ...my friend beat halo2 in about a day and a half on easy , to quick , even if it was on easy

I thought halo 2 was less of a sequel and more like an expansion pack, halo 1.5 if you will!

No way could u take a day and a half playing all the way through, I can do it in a long afternoon sitting taking around 8 hrs straight and less if one of my mates is with me.

ooooo get u.

Its still a very short game even if u have a full time job like myself.

and have u ever shut yourself away from your friends and family to do something, this was my something. I love Halo like a Religion or something I hope Eric Nylund brings out a new Halo book soon.

I know, I know but there are tons of gamers my age who do that kind of thing, I know its no justification, but really like the Halo series and I try stop it from hurting my Social life, but when a game comes along like this I feel drawn to it.

(okay sry peeps seems I've kinda open-uped a little to much)
