Half-Life 2 Pre-Loading

If you can't wait for Half-Life 2, then start firing up Steam where you will be able to start preloading the game. However it is a few gigs big so you may want to wait for the games release, sometime next month. Not long to go now

Update: Preloading has been delayed until Monday.

What's "pre-loading"?

They start downloading all the game content that's not likely to change between now and release like the voice fies, a lot of the textures, most of the maps etc etc. It's basically spreading the load so when the game is released you've got minimal wait and fuss to get the rest of the game.
