Phase 6 has started...

The sixth phase of the Half-Life 2 preload begins to Steam account holders today. This will allow users to download the Half-Life 2 maps in encrypted form. No purchase is required to pre-load Half-Life 2, but is required to activate the game. The moment the game is made available, those who have pre-loaded and purchased the game via Steam will be ready to start playing.

It can't be much longer now surely? *Wipes drool off mouth with back of sleeve*

Yeah I got it this morning. My valve folder is now up to 7.6 gig ! It cant be much longer to wait ffs !

Yeah 6.69 gig here, and I only use 20gig or so of my hardrive in total.

WOO!!

When do us Steam users get it then? I hope I don't have to wait while people post images of the box they just bought in a shop days before release while Valve hold off un-encrypting the game till the 16 or so.
