Hail Erad!
Just wanted to say hello to you noble Norsewoman.
Thursday night May 9th, 2002, I was part of a 20+ heads strong Hibernian expeditionary force which wanted to see Midgardians in action. So we run to the milegatefort (hope I got the name right) and waited for the first middies to show up.
Best moment for a linkdead. Of course my screen went blue and and I got the mssg that an error has occurred and I shall reset my machine. Aarghh!
I did, logged back in to DaoC and found myself all alone standing in front of that fort. All my buddies had vanished. Panic!
So I tried to retreat into the trees and think on what I should do now. Suddenly you showed up, conning famous rockband to me. (Deep purple). You mezzed me and danced around me. I tried to bow or wave like a madman, but I only got the message “you can’t do that while mezzed”, so sorry I did not respond to you in a gentle manner. After some dancing you went away, letting me live. This is very noble of you. Thank you for being a honorable person. I bow to you.
But I felt not very comfortable where I was, a lvl 28 surrounded by lvl 50 mobs. My Hibernian friends had been slain earlier (because I could not defend them as I had gone linkdead as you remember) and after that they scattered in all four directions, so no reinforcements were on the way either. And 6 bubs into the next level. So I decided I’d make a rush against the next middie showing up. Still hiding behind the trees I saw a purple troll (sorry don’t remember the name, was something with a “P” in the beginning) and rushed down the hill. But the troll had decided to go back through the gate again. No duel. So I waited in front of the door. It opened and a green con troll named Trollet showed up. I ran towards him, but he went inside again. I could not get any of my debuff spells on him, as he was out of range. So I ran after him, but smart Trollet had brought his purple buddy Melgar as a bodyguard. Melgar gave me a quick ride back to the bindpoint with 957 dmg (I have just over 500 HP lol). Pity I couldn’t engage lucky Trollet first.
Hail Vae
Earlier this night our group of 8 went to the albion PK where we ran into purple Vae. You proved a cunning opponent, managing to kill one of our casters before going down. Hail to you and thanks for the good fight you put up, mezzing me as only tank in group and going after the caster, while constantly moving around so our weapons users had difficulty landing a hit on you.
Yet you were my first RP, so I had to dance in joy. Of course I bowed to you laying slain, but you released so fast I couldn’t even take a screenie. For once it was not vae victis but vae vae. I bow to you.
