Well after getting absolutely no support from goa, they answer me in 21 days when they are supposed to answer in 3 and say oops we are sorry we couldn't restore....... Like the only thing they can do when an account has been hacked is to blame the player of having bad security, wtf is wrong with them?

Seems like they think this kind of things i okey, so why shouldn't evryone start hacking evryones accounts and gather for an full equip, bah goa sucks.

After this happened I decided to stop playing this game, have played for too long anyway.
It was fun in the beta and early in the game. But nowadays it is just shit and when people is doing like this there is no reason playing really.

Bye those kind and fun players I have met when playing this game:
Defiance - been really kind, and the best guild I´ve had.
Scaldie, Isra, Longsight, Mumin, Piglet, Blazor, Slip and Lindah - was really fun exping and rvring with you.

And the fool that stole my equip hope you have fun using it.

I cant believe someone would steal someones else stuff and erase the characters too. Why would someone want to be that mean? Stealing all the stuff is one thing but erasing the character is way too mean! (btw i dont mean by this post that stealing is ok)

If you seem so intrested he named the characters motherrrr and fuckerrrr, so yes he can do that.

Any name I try to enter on the new char screen that starts with Fuck or Mother comes up with "You have entered a duplicate name", even names like Motherinfidsn and Fuckxvereindbq.

Are you lying about the whole thing or just the names of the chars?

why cant goa roll back your account, i mean how much memory would 8 characters take up ffs. they should keep back up of everything on you account for 6 months imo. never happen though.

Have to agree with these posts... cant make any char containing the work fuck, and how would u know he stole your stuff if GOA didnt restore...

People got a real hard time to understand that poor Sleipner got hacked and deleted chars, why the hell would he even like to remember how the name fuuckkeeerrrr was spelled? ooooh people just belive him okey, can't be THAT hard?
And maybe he SAW with his own eyez when his own chars invet. got dumped over to another guy becouse he was online with another account to check up whom it was absuing his own account???

Well truly sorry for you sleipner, haven't been online much latley but someone in defiance told me that you had quited now and I understand you. Goa must do something about this, sucks when they get away that easy. And you that just was happy with your new hunter and all really boring mate

Sorry for the loss and all, but it was probably due to an error that you made yourself (not an insult ofc).

Tips for other online games if you ever decide to play them:

1. NEVER, I repeat, NEVER store any account details of any kind on your computer.
2. Firewall, Firewall, Firewall. Get one, it'll help you tremendously.
3. Never give your account details to someone that you don't know and trust very well.
4. (and this only goes for some people, most never have any probs with this, especially in daoc, but it happens sometimes) Don't blatantly piss off people that claim to be hackers. 98% of them are full of it and couldn't launch an ip-nuke if they were given an instruction manual, but there are people out there that can.
5. To be on the safe side, change your account password daily, weekly, or monthly. 100% guarentee that you'll decrease your chances of getting hacked.

There are a lot of pimple faced nerds out there with thick-rimmed glasses living in their parents attic/basement paying for internet with their fast-food resteraunt paycheck that can actually do some harm to your computer. Always take precaution

I remember the early days of Levelling with Valhandir with Tycho when we were in Warlords of Valhalla (The first guild created in Midgard!! ) before the guild fell apart. I also remember our first ever excursion into RvR - think we were both about lvl 20ish and we went and got our arses well and trully kicked in Emain
